The Face of Homelessness

"What am I supposed to tell my kids?" asks Nancy Soble, 38. She's currently living alone at the Marina Club of Tampa, a home she hoped would provide temporary transitional housing for her and eight of her nine children. The Marina Club has gotten an injunction from a federal judge to prevent Soble and her family from living there.

Eight kids... three of which are medically unstable... Possibly homeless soon... I think there's a bigger story here, and I hope to follow up on it soon.

  2. That lady in this story turns out to be a fraud. She lied, there are no 8 children like she claims. She told another reporter 9 kids, spread amongst friends and husband. She has no husband. Why would they not be living together? Think about it, if she really had 8 kids, where are they? Why aren't they in the picture? The reporter would have discovered her story was a fraud if they had only done 5 minutes of research on the court web sites. Her story sounds very unbeleivable. Sure I beleive she is poor and probably needs help, but enter her name in Polk county, Broward county, and Hillsborugh county court web site records, and you very quickly see what her real story is. Drugs, lies, and felonies.
